Some abbreviations and their meanings that you may encounter on the blog:

OS - orthopaedic surgeon

ROM - range of motion

LMAO - laughing my ankles off (actually this is a changed version)

WB - weight bearing

PWB - partial weight bearing

FWB - full weight bearing

HARDWARE - metal plates, screws and/or pins inserted in the ankle to support bones
