Splints / Moonboots

There are different kinds of boots, splints, braces and other types of support for your knees, ankles, feet and other injured joints. Here is some information that is available so far.

Moonboots:

For ankle breakers a moonboot is not a regular boot (shoe) that you wear during snowy season. Rather it is an alternative to a cast that allows you to walk because it has different types of straps supporting your injured joint.
There are many different types of moonboots, which are also called "walkers" or "walking braces". Usually they are provided by your orthopedic surgeon (and hopefully covered by your insurance). However, for those seeking more information here are some links:
